Nov 2008 - Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)

Chartered in 1947, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the world’s largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals. PRSA is responsible for representing, educating, and setting standards of excellence and ethical conduct for its members and, more broadly, the $4 billion U.S. public relations profession.

Currently, there are more than 22,000 PRSA members, including professionals from public relations agencies, corporations, government, health care institutions, military, associations, and nonprofit organizations; and academics. In addition, more than 10,000 students are members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

Oct 2008 - Cyber crimes, Cyber security and protecting your computers

August 2008 - Challenges faced by working women

August 2008 issue of Corporate ezine PR-e-Sense focusses on the various challenges faced by working women and the tips to overcome these challenges.

Online Survey
To study the various problems, we conducted an online survey and identified some major issues. Then we also validated our observations with professional experts.

One of the major observations made by us was that working women find difficulty in 'work balance' between family and office. This also affects their health.

There is a general perception amongst the female members that they prefer male bosses to female bosses. We are also analysing as to why such perception gets developed.

Dr Abdul Kalam launches ezine's cartoon character PRince

Dr Abdul Kalam launching the cartoon character Prince

Corporate ezine PR-e-Sense carries cartoons from the month of April 2008. The Editorial Board decided to create a new cartoon character, an youth who will be starting his journey from the July 2008 issue onwards. The name 'PRince' was suggested by Ms Uma, one of the communication professionals and a member of prpoint group and this name was accepted by all. The cartoon character is named as PRince. Mr Triambak Sharma, Editor, Cartoon Watch, the only cartoon magazine of India has been contributing cartoons every month for the ezine. He created the PRince, who will be featured in all the future cartoons.

Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India launched this new cartoon character on 24th July 2008 during his visit to Chennai in the presence of few young professionals. As a token of the launch, he also put his signature on the new cartoon character PRince, who will be moving around from July 2008 onwards. In the picture, Dr Abdul Kalam is seen signing on the cartoon. K. Srinivasan, Editor-in-Chief is looking on.

May 2008 - PR online resources

Public Relations online resources - May 2008 issue of Corporate ezine PR-e-Sense Image Management and PR Point Groups moderated by Prime Point Foundation are completing successful 9 years in June and entering 10th year. Mar 2008 - Chartered Institute of Public Relations, London @ 60

Chartered Institute of Public Relations,CIPR London Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), London is one of the oldest Institutions in the PR field. They are celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year. To coincide with their 60th Anniversary, they are hosting '5th World PR Conference' at London during June 2008.

New design of logo and layout of PR-e-Sense

Sudhakar More,  National Creative Director, Sudler & Hennessey, Mumbai,  IndiaPR-e-Sense acknowledges the support given by Mr Sudhakar More, National Creative Director, Sudler & Hennessey, Mumbai, India for designing the new logo and the new layout which is being used by us from the Second Anniversary Feb 08 issue.

He began his career in the year 1993 with MAA Bozell and went on to work with a number of agencies like Clea, EURO RSCG, and McCann Healthcare.

Over the years, he has produced some award-winning work too. His campaign for brand Alaspan (anti-allergic) was recognised as the best campaign of the year among the 40 agencies across the globe in the EURO RSCG group. His poster against pirated CDs for Philips won the Gold award at the Ad Club of Calcutta. His poster for OPPI on Responsible Safe Medication won silver at the Rx Club, New York in 2005 and a campaign for S&H won Awards of Excellence. He continued the winning spirit with 2 gold, 1 silver and 15 awards of excellence in 2006 along with a certificate at New York festival for breast cancer awareness poster. And adding the feathers to his cap, he won 2 gold, 2 silver and 21 awards of excellence in Rx club, New York in 2007, creating a name and unique position for Sudler & Hennessey, India globally.

PR-e-Sense is proud that the new logo and layout has been designed by such an eminent creative director. PR-e-Sense wishes him many more laurels in future too.

PR-e-Sense opens up sponsorship for Corporates!

India's first Corporate monthly ezine PR-e-Sense, published by Prime Point Foundation was started in March 2006 with a view to provide quality Corporate information and interviews on various themes. Very eminent people, including Dr Abdul Kalam, (Former President of India), Mr T S Krishna Murthy (Former Chief Election Commissioner of India), Mr Jimmy Wales (Founder, Wikipedia), Mr Colin Farrington (Director General, Charterred Institute of Public Relations, London)have contributed to the ezine.

During Jan 08, this ezine got the coveted 'Gold Award' from Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI), Mumbai under corporate ezine category.
