Jan 10 - Education Loan Schemes by Banks in India

Jan 2010 issue of ezine PR-e-Sense deals with the Education Loan Schemes offered by Banks in India.  Reserve Bank of India and Indian Banks' Association have evolved friendly Education Loan Schemes to be adopted by the Banks.  In an online survey conducted by the ezine, we found that many of the deserving and poor students do not get adequate support from the Banks.  The lack of awareness about  the education loan schemes among the students and parents, is exploited by many bank managers.
If India is to become a developed nation by 2020, more number of youth should go for higher education.  Keeping this in mindly only, the Government of India has evolved  friendly schemes, to benefit the poor people.
In this issue, we are carrying an exclusive interviews with Dr K C Chakrabarty, Deputy Goivernor, Reserve Bank of India,  Mr K Unnikrishnan, Deputy Chief Executive of Indian Banks' Association.  and  Mr T K Rangarajan, Member of Parliament. Mr Rangarajan  has assured to take up the issue in Parliament in the Budget Session 2010.
