I am pleased to release the 210th (Aug 2024) edition of PreSense with its rich content. On behalf of PreSense, I greet the readers for the 78th Independence Day celebrations. 

The nation has witnessed a horrifying incident of rape and murder of a young doctor in Kolkata.  After the Nirbhaya incident in 2012, this incident has drawn the attention of the entire nation.  Civil society across the country protested in the streets.  Even the Supreme Court of India has taken up this issue suo moto.   We have written an editorial on the ‘crime against women’ in India, comparing it with other countries globally.

Recently, the Indian Government introduced a Waqf Amendment Bill 2024, which has generated controversy and debate. This bill has also been referred to the Joint Parliamentary Committee for scrutiny. Our cover story deals with this in detail.

The new Government presented the Budget in July 2024 for the FY 2023-24. Lots of debates are going on in the media about the budget. PreSense also joins in analysing the impact of the Budget on the middle Class in the Cover Story.

Recently, a Karnataka farmer was denied entry into the Cinema Hall situated in a leading mall at Bengaluru for the reason that he was wearing a traditional dhoti and turban like a farmer. This incident generated a serious debate across the nation. PreSense Editorial analyses similar incidents that happened in the past and suggests suitable national legislation to eradicate the colonial hangover.

After the 2024 general elections, the President of India formed the 18th Lok Sabha, and all the new Members took the oath. Unlike the previous two Lok Sabhas, this Lok Sabha has a greater number of opposition members. Also, three new criminal laws will come into force on 1 July 2024. This edition carries two editorials due to the importance of the subjects.

We are pleased to release the 207th (May 2024) edition of eMagazine PreSense.

We apologise for the five-day delay in releasing this edition. We wanted to include the election results and their impact.

The editorial covers the reasons behind BJP not getting 272 mark and the challenges and opportunities before Modi 3.0.  Cover Story covers the services rendered by Arya Samaj and DAV group of Schools.

In addition, this edition carries PreSense updates, Susan Musings, Dipti DigiSphere and an article on new skills required for job market.   We also feature Dr Ranu Sinha,  the first Indian American Hollywood Producer and Director, who has made history in the US.  Triambak's cartoon brings cheers.  

As part of Prime Point Foundation's Silver Jubilee Celebrations, we have launched a Hackathon to students jointly with the Media Science Department of Anna University, Chennai, to curb misinformation.

We are delighted to announce the release of the 204th (Feb 2024) Edition of eMagazine PreSense.

PreSense was launched in March 2006 based on the suggestion of Dr Abdul Kalam to promote positive journalism. With this edition, we celebrate our 18-year journey in digital journalism. One of our key initiatives is the 'Sansad Ratna Awards', which recognizes the outstanding performance of Indian Parliamentarians.

In this edition, you will find a detailed report on the 14th Edition of the Sansad Ratna Awards 2024, which took place in New Delhi on February 17, 2024. We were honoured to have a photo session with the Hon'ble President of India and the Hon'ble Vice President of India after the Award ceremony.
